Photo Quilts
PHOTO QUILTS: Built on traditional quilt designs, photos replace fabric. From afar, they appear as calico-like patterns, but close up, the squares and borders—often comprised of hard industrial components—break into individual images, some whole, some details, and others re-formed into kaleidoscopic images. Some quilts contain hundreds of “pieces” digitally “sewn” together. (Click on an image for enlarged view.)
